Joslet scierie – französischer Eichen und Laubholzspezialist

Nestled between the Basque coast at the foot of the Pyrenees and the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park, the Joslet sawmill is a family business of 3 generations with more than 50 years of experience.

Already in 2016, we were able to convince the French oak and hardwood specialist with our mature technology and equip it with a 5.6 MW warm water boiler system - the special feature, the entire system was designed so that it can be converted into a thermal oil system with the least possible effort.

At the beginning of next year, the ORC 10 Turboden will be delivered and the system will be retrofitted.

The beautiful Lathen in Lower Saxony (Germany) is no ordinary municipality. Not only the location on the river Ems makes the community so special, but also the progressive approaches, which Lathen implemented years ago to bear witness to the responsible use of the environment. Lathen relies on renewable energy from biomass, wind and solar energy. As early as 2012, an AGRO thermal oil system with Turbo Challenger was installed. Every year, the power plant produces almost 22,000 megawatt hours of heat and 7,300 megawatt hours of electricity.

A 3D animation of the system technology can be found on the homepage of the Energieagentur Lippe >> hier.

Bioenergie Wächtersbach / Inauguration

At the beginning of September, Bioenergie Wächtersbach put its second biomass boiler into operation. By expanding the biomass cogeneration plant with a 6 MW AGRO boiler plant, the increased demand can now be fully covered with 100 % energy from renewable biomass.

Nahwärme Eibiswald – Investment with vision

The Nahwärme Eibiswald has been producing heat from wood for 28 years. The raw material for the heat production is wood in form of wood chips, which comes to 100 % from the Koralm region. Special attention is paid to the sustainable and careful management of the habitat forest.

We are particularly pleased that Nahwärme Eibiswald relies on the many years of experience of AGRO Forst & Energietechnik in the construction of the new biomass plants. The two boilers with 4,000 kW and 800 kW are to be installed at the beginning of June in combination with an AGRO flue gas condensation system.

With particular vision, the 800 kW biomass boiler system is already designed as a hot water boiler for operating temperatures up to 150° C, to allow the retrofitting of an absorption heat pump for additional efficiency increase.

More information on the efficiency increase with absorption heat pump can be found >> here.

Denmark – advanced and forward-looking renewable energy policy

For more than 10 years, Denmark has shown that condensing boiler technology in the field of biomass is not an utopian dream but can be lived under practical conditions.

In implementing the district heating project for the Danish port of Horsens, we were able to implement this concept together with the experience of the district heating operator. With the total installation of 2 x 13.5 MW hot water boiler systems plus 2 x a two-stage flue gas condensation with absorption heat pump and the special combustion technology of the AGRO Turbo Challengers®, as well as the control of the entire system – with an efficiency of up to 127 % (using fuel with 60 % water content) and a flue gas temperature of 20 ° C – the plant has become one of the most energy efficient facilities in Europe.

The special feature of this technology is that it is also possible to use for smaller plants and above all for plants in our latitudes. This significantly increases the efficiency of the system. The only requirement is the installation of a hot water boiler with a flow temperature of 150-160° C and an absorption heat pump. Thus, the highly efficient operation of a flue gas condensation is possible even at higher return temperatures.
